Overview

Motors spin but aircraft won't lift or flips.

Symptoms

Typical "Drone won't take off" signs in flight, app or OSD:

• Motors spin — no lift
• Immediate flip on takeoff
• Max altitude 0 m message
• App error list — every red line before arming.

Common causes

Before replacing parts, rule out software, mechanical and environmental causes:

• Props on wrong motors (CW/CCW)
• Geo-zone / no-fly — software lock
• IMU error
• Too heavy payload

Tools needed

Prepare before diagnostics — saves time in the field:

• National UTM map
• NAA operator ID
• DJI Fly geo unlock (if permitted)

Step-by-step fix

Work safely: battery off when working on ESC/motors; props removed; after repair — VLOS test flight.

• Check prop mapping diagram.
• App — check geo restriction; move location.
• IMU cal; weight check vs MTOW.
• FPV flip — motor direction in Betaflight.
