Contact your NAA in advance for reasonable adjustments.

Format
TKA exams are typically held under standard conditions — a physical exam centre, time limit and written questions. Candidates with disabilities can request reasonable adjustments — extra time, accessible format and similar accommodations.
Reasonable adjustments are not automatic — they must be requested in advance and supported by medical or other documentation. Contact TKA at least 2–4 weeks before your planned exam date.
Preparation
Preparation with a disability does not need to differ in substance — the A2STS platform is accessible and supports standard browser accessibility features (larger text, contrast settings).
Candidates with hearing impairments are not disadvantaged, as A1/A3 and A2 exams are written. Visual impairments may require specialist formats — discuss the options with TKA in advance.
Exam tip
Mistakes
The most common mistake: waiting until the last minute to request an adjustment. TKA needs time to administer changes — a late request may mean the exam must be postponed.
Another mistake: not knowing your rights. At EU level there are accessibility obligations — if TKA fails to provide reasonable adjustment, a refusal can be formally challenged.
Mocks
A2STS supports browser accessibility features — you can use screen readers, audio tools or contrast settings according to your needs.
Running mock exams under your own hardware conditions (with assistive technology if you use it) better prepares you for the real exam under the same conditions.
Frequently asked questions
- Is TKA obliged to provide adjustments for candidates with disabilities?
- Yes — under EU accessibility directives and Lithuanian disability rights legislation, public institutions must provide reasonable adjustments. Contact TKA in writing with supporting documentation.
- Can the A1/A3 test be taken with assistive technology?
- The A1/A3 online test through the TKA portal may support browser accessibility features. If you have specific needs — test them in advance and contact TKA if assistance is required.
