INAV adds GPS navigation to FPV and fixed-wing builds. GPS Rescue and waypoints do not remove VLOS in the Open category.

What it is
INAV fork of Cleanflight — GPS, barometer, magnetometer, return-to-home.
Used on long-range FPV and wings with FC + GPS module (Matek, Kakute).
Configuration
GPS lock outdoors — ≥10 satellites before arming.
GPS Rescue — set safe RTH altitude and max distance.
Failsafe — RTH or Land on RC loss.
CLI backup — save before firmware updates.
Licence and operations
Waypoint autonomy — not automatically Specific, but commercial ops often need authorisation.
Open category — pilot must keep VLOS; GPS Rescue returns aircraft but does not extend VLOS.
