Wymagania licencyjne na zawody

Drone racing competitions do not waive basic certificate requirements. FPV racing with an aircraft ≥250 g MTOM requires at minimum an A1/A3 certificate. Competition rules supplement, not replace, NAA requirements.

FPV racing drones are often legacy aircraft — unclassified as C0–C6. For such aircraft, Open-category rules apply based on their weight.

Zezwolenia na imprezy

A drone racing event may require a municipal permit if held in a public space. If the track runs through a CTR zone, ATC permission is required.

Organisers should coordinate with ULC in advance — especially for urban events or those near airports. Allow at least 4–6 weeks before the event date.

Wyścigi FPV i status BVLOS

FPV racers wear goggles — making the flight BVLOS under EASA definitions. Many FPV events operate under national exemptions or special event authorisations.

Organisers should contact ULC for guidance on FPV competition permit structures — some events use an 'observer' arrangement where a spotter with VLOS stands beside the pilot.

Plan bezpieczeństwa na zawodach

A safety plan is mandatory for any organised event. It must include: track safety perimeter, emergency equipment, communications plan and a designated incident-response person.

Insurance is required for both organisers and participants. Every pilot should carry personal OC insurance, even if the event organiser holds a group policy.
