MTOM = Maximum Take-Off Mass
MTOM is the maximum mass of the aircraft at take-off, including batteries, payloads and fluids as applicable. It is the reference mass for many Open-category and registration rules (for example the 250 g threshold).

Why it matters for pilots
Weigh with battery and accessories. A “249 g on the box” drone can exceed 250 g with extras — and camera rules may still require registration below 250 g.
