FPV racing and regulation

Racing quads often exceed 250 g with a camera — NAA operator and UAS registration is mandatory.

Event organisers may additionally require Specific category approval, insurance and a safety plan.

Event permits

Indoor venues and outdoor tracks need owner permission and sometimes municipal approval.

Check whether the venue sits in a geo-zone or CTR — use your national UTM map.

Gear and safety

Analog or digital FPV — the same licence rules apply. EU VTX power limits apply in hobby class.

Prop guards, FTS and spectator separation are typical organiser requirements.
